Car parking management
The current practice of free parking on a first-come first-served basis for all will continue, however with demand for parking spaces often exceeding supply there is a need for a formal parking management system.
The University have partnered with Wise Parking to facilitate the management of parking across campus. They are fully regulated and accredited with a recognised parking body. Wise Parking utilise technology to enforce parking restrictions which differs significantly from our previous partner.
The new Parking Policy outlines the conditions and requirements on drivers when parking on campus, specifically that all vehicles driving onto campus must be registered, with the exception of short term deliveries, drop-off or collection (45 minutes). This will be enforced through Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras placed at every vehicular access onto campus. Failure to register a vehicle will result in an automatic Parking Charge Notice (PCN) of £100, reduced to £60 for early payment.
Staff and students, with a Roehampton email account can register directly with Wise Parking at https://roehampton.mycarpass.co.uk/. Verification is achieved with a return email to your Roehampton account.
Those regular visitors/contractors without a Roehampton email address should be notified to the Head of Campus Safety and Security. The ability to register to park for one day will still be available at Stuart Lodge. Requests for visitor day parking and reservations will continue as present.
Security Officers will continue to issue PCNs to drivers who park in non-designated parking spaces, cause obstruction or park in disabled bays without authority. These notices are issued electronically, however an information note will be affixed to a vehicle, advising the driver that a PCN has been issued.
All PCNs will be posted to the registered keeper of the vehicle within 7 days.
Please ensure you register before Saturday 1 November 2025 when enforcement will begin, however notices for unauthorised parking will commence on Monday 27 October 2025.
