People
Microsoft People
Microsoft People is your address book used to view, create, and edit contacts and contact lists. You can add personal contacts as well as contacts within the Roehampton global address book. The People, Mail, and Calendar apps work together so you can easily send mail to and schedule appointments with your contacts. You can also create a contact list for sending email to a group of people.
What you'll see on the People page:
- Use the Search box to search for a person or a contact list.
- The toolbar provides menus and commands for creating and modifying your contacts, contact lists, and groups depending on the context.
- People you have added as favorites appear in Favorites.
- All saved contacts and contact lists from all folders appear in your Contacts.
- List of all your contacts appear in Your contact lists.
- Groups: Members show you the groups you belong to, and Owners show you the groups you own.
- The middle pane displays favorites, contacts, contact lists, or groups depending on what you selected in the navigation pane. Use the filter menu to sort and to choose how contact names are displayed.
- The right pane displays detailed information for the contacts, contact lists, or groups selected in the middle pane.
When selecting a contact you are viewing a version of their profile card which will show:
Contact information: Information such as email address, contact number, department, preferred meeting hours etc.
Profile photo: A photo of the user if they have set one up.
Organizational information: If the contact belongs to your organization, you can also see the organization chart. Please note, currently this information may be missing or inaccurate, however we are working to address this by integrating with the HR system.
Email: Recent email messages and email attachments between you and the contact.
Files: Recent files that the contact has shared with you.
